Dress Code

Dress Code

Dress and grooming should fit the school situation and shall not disrupt the learning environment.  Modest, comfortable dress that does not contain pictures or brands that represent violence, drug/alcohol use, or illegal activities is expected.

“A pupil who goes to school without proper attention having been given to personal cleanliness or neatness of dress, may be sent home to be properly prepared for school, or shall be required to prepare himself (herself) for the schoolroom before entering.” (California Administrative Code, Title 5, Division 2, Section 302)

Dress code violations will be documented and can receive progressive disciplinary action, which may include waiting for a change of clothing in the office, confiscation of items in exchange for a loaner item, and detention or intervention placement.
