Ms. Grijalva is a first-generation college student from El Paso, TX. She came to California on a scholarship where she played basketball, ran cross country, and played in the handbell choir at California Baptist University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology. She has a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling from the University of Redlands. She has been a school counselor for 17 years. Prior to being a school counselor, she was a Wiley Center Counselor where she worked with K-12 students. She serves on local, state, and national school counselor committees to have a voice in the decisions that affect our students. She was featured in Forbes 2X for her work with Reach Higher and was recognized by the U.S. Air Force as a Distinguished Educator. Ms. Grijalva has presented at several state and national conferences.
