Extended Learning Opportunities

We are happy to announce that after the winter break and upon our return to school in January, we will begin offering after-school programs for our Citrus Hills Intermediate students. Our Extended Learning Opportunity program will occur after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:20-3:20 pm on the Citrus Hills Intermediate campus. We have divided our Extended Learning Opportunity programs into three Sessions: Session 1 will run from January 11 until February 17, Session 2 will run from February 22 until April 7, and Session 3 will run from April 12 until May 19. Citrus Hills’ students can sign up for one program option under each session. Due to limited availability in some programs, we urge our students to sign up as early as possible.

What are the Extended Learning Opportunity programs that Citrus Hills is offering after school? Below you will find the complete list of Extended Learning Opportunity programs we will begin offering when we return to school in January.

Directions for enrolling in Extended Learning Opportunities: In order for your student to participate in Extended Learning, they will need to click on the link below and select one activity from each of the three Sessions we are offering.  After completing the Extended Learning Opportunities survey, students will simply hit the submit button and we will receive their survey results.

How many Sessions can students sign up for? Students can select to participate in 1, 2, or all 3 sessions if they would like.  If they so choose, they can sign up for the same program for each of the three sessions (i.e., Jazz Band for sessions 1, 2, and 3), or they can mix it up and sign up for different programs for each of three sessions (i.e., Coding & 3-Printing for Session 1, Basketball for Session 2, and Ceramics for Session 3). Due to limited space availability, however, students will be placed on a first-come, first-serve basis until each program fills up. We therefore urge your child to enroll without delay.

Will I need to pick up my child from his/her Extended Learning Opportunity program? Yes. If your child chooses to participate in any of our after-school Extended Learning sessions, parents will need to arrange to have their child picked up from the Citrus Hills Intermediate campus at 3:20 PM (unless they walk to and from school).
